How to breed Anubis — quick answer

Dex #210 · Rare · Breeding rank 570 · Palworld 1.0

How the calculator works

  1. 1

    Select Pal species you own

Pick up to 20 species from your current roster as starting points — early-game starters work fine. Paths may include partners to catch.

  2. 2

    Choose a target Pal

Search any of the 299 Pals, for example Anubis, Jetragon or Orserk.

  3. 3

Get the shortest known path (≤4 steps)

The engine checks special combos first, then the 1.0 rank-average formula, up to 4 breeding steps. Steps may require catching a partner.

Try an example: Penking + Arsox → Anubis — starts from a Penking + Arsox roster and chains to Anubis in a few steps, then press Calculate.

How the Palworld Breeding Calculator Works

This Palworld breeding calculator helps you find the shortest known breeding path within 4 steps, starting from the species you own, to the Pal you want to unlock. Pick up to 20 species as starting points, set a target, and get a step-by-step species-level route — steps may require catching a partner. The engine uses Palworld 1.0 breeding ranks — old 2024 calculators can return wrong results — and checks special parent combinations before the rank-average formula. Mechanics follow the in-game Palworld Wiki breeding mechanics reference. Every step still needs one male and one female; gender, quantity, passive inheritance and acquisition difficulty are not modeled.

Share results with a stable link (?own=...&target=...) and open any Pal's breeding page for the full parent table. See also the Breeding Guide and 1.0 Changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Palworld Breeding Calculator work?

The calculator uses a breadth-first search over breeding outcomes to find the shortest known path within 4 breeding steps, starting from the species you own. Steps may require catching a partner Pal.

What does the 4-step breeding limit mean?

The tool searches breeding chains up to four steps deep. A "not found" result means the target was not reachable within 4 steps from your current roster — not that the Pal is unbreedable. Adding more owned Pals usually extends the reachable set.

Does the calculator include Palworld 1.0 combo changes?

Yes. Data is verified against Palworld 1.0 breeding ranks. Special parent combinations are checked before the rank-average formula, so updated combos return correctly when a known special route exists.

Why might it return no path found?

That means your selected starting roster cannot reach the target within depth 4. The result area shows the target's top parent pairs and links to its How to Breed page.

Can I see every parent pair for a Pal?

Yes. Use the Parents Lookup tab or open the Pal's How to Breed page for the complete parent table — all combinations are listed, with special combos tagged.
